Unit 28 Task 2 P2+P3

P2

User side factors:

Download speed- The download speed of someones computer effects how quickly a web page loads on their screen, so the lower the download speed the slower the page loads. When making this is should keep the images to a smaller size to make it easier for people to load on their screens and keep the videos and trailers on a separate link to make it easier to the page to load.

PC Performance- PC performance is more of a issue for people with much older computers as their processor and cache speed will be much worse and when making this site I need to take into account that people may have much slower computers and make my site easier for them to load.

Server side factors:

Web server capacity- Web server capacity is how many computers can be connected to the web page at and given time, this is called the bandwidth and if too many people try to connect at once the website can crash  and go offline.

File types- Different file types on a web page can effect how quickly it loads. Larger files types mean its going to take longer for the page to load in full and this can be a problem for someone with a slow internet connection. For example a PNG may take longer than a JPEG to load. To make sure this sin not a problem I will choose a small file type of compress an image file.
