Task 5, D1, Unit 1

Verbal Communication- Verbal communication has helped me when producing work; it also has advantages and disadvantages. An advantage of using this would be that it is quick to ask someone about the task you’re working on or don’t understand and is quick to get the information you may need. A disadvantage of this would be that you may not be able to visualise the work and may not be able to understand without looking at it.

Teacher broadcasting demonstration- This has many advantages and disadvantages to this. An advantage of this would be that my teacher can show us exactly what we need to whether that be a task on the task sheet or instructing us on how to do something.

Using Blogger- Blogger has helped me when producing work. An advantage of using blogger is that my teachers could view and comment on my work saying what needs to be improved and that I can correct my work to a better standard. Another advantage is that I can check on blogger from home or on my phone anytime to make sure that my works is up to date and correct it when I need to. A disadvantage is that blogger is a hard website to use and understand at first because the different parts of blogger aren’t very clear like when changing settings or embedding things into posts.

Using Gmail- Gmail has helped me in many ways. One advantage of using Gmail would be that we use that to share and accept invitations to each other’s blogger pages for a specific task, we also used it if I couldn’t get onto the task website I could accept it through my email easily. A disadvantage of using Gmail is finding certain emails that I need can be quite hard because when looking at your email it may not be very clear.

Publishing images (print screens) - Print screens have helped me in many ways. An advantage of using print screens is that I can use I as evidence for work and certain tasks. I used print screens in my dummies guide as I can easily crop out information that I don’t want on that page and is easy to resize the image to what size I want. It is also very quick and easy to paste these images because it just copies the screen and then paste it where you want. It is also easy to save the image if it needs to be saved.

Using Power- PowerPoint has helped me in the production of my work. An advantage of using PowerPoint is that it keeps my work organised when working on a task and when I have completed the task, I can then save each image as a jpeg and upload it to blogger which makes it easier for my teacher to see and comment on as it is organised.

Using publisher- Publisher has helped me in the production of my Dummies Guide. An advantage of using this is that it was one of the easiest programs to make a leaflet in and to set out. But a disadvantage of using this was that I had to save each page as a jpeg.
